- We would
like to know the fate of some members of the Thomas J. SMOTHERS
family. His wife, nee HICKEY, was born in Arkansas and died in Acworth,
Red River Co., in 1947.She was buried in Briggings Cemetery, and
maybe he was, too. He died in 1906. Their children were Laura, who
married Sam CURTIS, and they had a son named Leslie. Our relative
is Ada, who married William H. HOLLOWELL. Next is Lilly, then Mabel,
and last is Tom. He married a lady named Alzada, but they divorced
or he died,because a marriage record for Elzady SMOTHERS to William
RAULINSON was found in 1925. Would love to hear from anyone who
knew this family.

- FRANKLIN,
MONTGOMERY posted
by Rita Goodwin on Monday,
July 7, 1997
- I'm searching
for MONTGOMERY's from Red River County around the towns of Annona,
English and Clarksville. I know that Dock MONTGOMERY married Diliah
FRANKLIN there in January 1896. I know their first child was born
there December 6, 1876. Dock had a brother George that married Mollie
FRANKLIN a sister to Diliah. I recently found a book that told of
some of Dock & Diliah's family going to Clarksville and English
to visit some of their Montgomery cousins, but it didn't tell their
first names. If you know of any MONTGOMERY's that lived in that
area, would you please get in touch with me. I'd also like to get
a copy of Dock and Diliah's marriage certificate. Other brother's
of Dock MONTGOMERY that could be in the area are: Joe MONTGOMERY;
Logan MONTGOMERY; Thomas MONTGOMERY; William Robert MONTGOMERY;
James Madison MONTGOMERY;
