- I am looking
for any one who can help me find marriage record of William R. CARLISLE,
born abt 1846 in Mississippi who married Miranda Kate FRANKLIN,
born abt 1846 in Ark. William first married Nancy A.R.M. WEEKS in
Angelina county and had son James Levi Carlise abt 1869. Nancy died
and William married Kate FRANKLIN and had Laura CARLISLE who married
Jack BREAZEALE. Wm and Kate then had twins Ella L. and George Edward
"Ed" CARLISLE Mar 10 1878. Some time between then and 1880 both
Wm and Kate died and the children were all seperated. James went
to live with his aunt, Elizabeth Ann CARLISLE (his fathers sister)
who married a Jack BREAZEALE and it was their daughter Emma that
James married. Laura was living with a WOOD family in 1880 and the
twins Ed and Ella were living in their grandparents HH, the William
Plumer FRANKLINS. All of this I know to be correct, but only from
being told so by my mother and her sisters and brothers. I need
proof of William and Kates marriage. The twins did not grow up together,
they were shifted from pilar to post as my mom always said. Does
any one know of any probate records, as the children were all minors
at the time of their parents death? Angelina county clerks office
say they have no probate records. Any help would be appreciated,
and I would be glad to share any information I have with anyone
who can help me. Thanks, Clata MCCARVER

- GRAHAM: Researching
my GRAHAM family lines. Would like to talk to anyone interested
in the Graham surname. The fartherest back I have gotten is William
Graham in Camden Dist., Claremont County SC and he and some brothers
were supposed to have dome there from England but I have gotten
no further back will keep working on that. Apparently we had several
Grahams that blazed trails out west, we had one woman that made
the Dallas paper a Tennessee Texas Graham Bowman! She was said to
be a character and her daughter married a Perot. Tennessee Texas
(Mary) Graham was born March 31,1831 in Perryville,TN. The daughter
of Robert Crawford Graham and his first wife, Mahaly Cauthron Graham,
Maternal Grandparents were Samuel CAUTHRON(died April 1,1831) and
Susannah Cauthron (died April 8,1830). Her paternal grandmother
was Sarah Bruton/Bunton/Newton? born 1768, Scotland died Dec. 15,1827
in Davidson County, TN. And grandfather was John Graham Sr., born
1760 Scotland died Oct 6, 1827 in Davidson County, TN. Robert Crawford
Graham born June 15,1809 in Randolf County, NC died Feb. 4,1873
Camp County, TX. When Tennessee Texas was 10 years old her family
moved to Jefferson\Linden TX.The story of her journey was featured
in the Dallas morning newspaper in April 1927. Her mother and father
taught her sound Christian principles to live by and she was highly
regarded by all. Her father married second to Nancy Hill STORY born
1821 in Tennessee, she was beloved step-mother to Mahaly's children.
Probably it was Nancy H. Story Graham's brother who married James
Newton BOWMAN to T.T. Graham (first cousins). Tennessee Texas Graham
Bowman died Feb. 3 1928 at Bowmans Hill, Pinebluff, Red River County,
Texas. She was also know as 'Aunt Tennessee' to everyone and stood
over 6 feet tall. James Newton BOWMAN, born Jan. 7,1826 in Tennessee
and T.T. Graham had a daughter Sarah Mahaly Hill Bowman, who married
John Cassimer PEROT. They had several children.Ok a short on another
one . Elizabeth Graham married c. 1807 General John King RAYBURN
probably in Wayne County, TN. General John RAYBURN born Montgomery
County, VA Oct. 11,1795 (father was Henry Rayburn born in Ireland?).From
Perry County TN John and Elizabeth RAYBIRN moved to Panols County
Mississippi where he farmed and was a physican. Elizabeth's father,
father-in-law, husband and brothers were some of the men who carved
their names in American History. John RAYBURN helped survey northern
Mississippi. President Polk appointed him U.S.Marshall of the Northern
District of Mississippi. He and his brothers made their fortune
carrying cotton to market in New Orleans,LA on their own fleet of
boats. They invested much of their money in land in Texas. Because
of his influence in keeping the railroad out so his shipping business
would not be hurt, John King Rayburn was gunned down as he was leaving
his Panola County, MS jail. He died later April 10, 1856 of his
wounds. Ther are many desendants of Elizabeth Graham RAYBURN living
throughout Tennessee, Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas. There is much
more I could write but don't know if their gonna say this is to
long.:) Thankyou for your time and please contact me if you are
interested in what I have or if you may have more info for me!

- I am looking

FENTER, SWINNEY, and GILL. The first three are fairly common, and
here's the information that I have on them. First, MARTIN: My dad's
name is Danny MARTIN, he was born on August 17, 1947 to C.P. and
Bennie MARTIN in Lubbock, Texas. My grandfather C.P.(Clarence Paul)
MARTIN, all I know besides his name is that he was born on Oct.
18 I do not know the year, or whether he was born in Ar.,Ok., or
Texas My great-grandfather Charlie MARTIN all I know is that his
first wife died, and he remarried, and that he had children with
both. Next, BROWN: My paternal grandmother's maiden name is Bennie
BROWN, she was named Bennie, because she was supposed to have been
a boy, but she was born on March 6, I believe in 1926, and I think
she was born in Gaines Co. Texas. Her parents names were Earl, and
Vera BROWN. I'm not sure about either side of my paternal grandmother's
family, because my great- grandparents weren't close to their families.
I do know that my dad's maternal grandmother's maiden name was BAKER.
Other than that I have don't know anything else. FENTER is my mother's
maiden name. My mom was born Marsha Kathleen FENTER on June 5, 1949
to Vernon and Mildred FENTER in Roswell, New Mexico. However, I
believe that both of her parents were born in Texas, and I am unsure
where. My maternal grandmother's maiden name was GILL, she was born
to Calvin Augustus and Olga Helena GILL. Her mother's maiden name
is Olga Helena SWINNEY. My great-grandfather on that side was born
somewhere in Louisiana, and that is all the information I have,
if anyone out there can help me find some more information, it would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks

to Texas from Dickson Co., TN in 1880's to live with a married daughter,
name as yet unknown. Reportedly died in 1880's of burns received
when her clothes caught fire while making soap. Where in Texas did
she live? What was her daughters name? What is the date of death?
Where is she buried? Any information greatly appreciated! Thanks.
