I am trying to find the names of the parents of Riley Amber BUCHANAN, Henry BUCHANAN, Charley BUCHANAN and Marion BUCHANAN. Riley would have been born in 1872, and I know that Henry was born on October 10, 1878. I found a William Ambrose BUCHANAN and a Francis STARK who had two children born to them. One child was named Marion S. BUCHANAN, born 1/27/1877 in San Saba, Texas. The second son was named Charles Buchanan, born 1/31/1882 in San Saba, Texas. These two names match the names of at least two of the brothers I have on my list. But being that I don't know the parent's names, I have no way of knowing for sure. I am hoping that someone can tell me more about William Ambrose BUCHANAN and his Wife Francis STARK. Could they possibly be the parents of the four BUCHANAN's that I'm researching? Andrew KENT was one of the immortal 32 from Gonzales who died in the Alamo, 6 March 1836. His original grant and homeplace is south of Hallettsville on Kents Creek. Capt. Black Adam ZUMWALT's homeplace is where the Mossy Grove Church now stands south of Hallettsville. David BURKET's original league is partly in northwest LavacaCo. Interested in general history of Old Moulton and Petersburg (Zumwalt Settlement) which was for a short time the county seat.
