San Antonio Genealogical & Historical Society

meets 3rd Saturday of the month, (except July, Aug. & Dec.) 10:00 am at the LDS Church, corner of Midcrown & Crestway in NE San Antonio (Windcrest area). Speakers at each meeting, vistors welcome. SAGHS Library, 911 Melissa Drive in N Central San Antonio is open; Monday 10am-4 pm, Wednesday 10 am-9pm, Saturday 10am-4 pm & Sunday 1-5 pm. Brazos Genealogical Association

meets the third Monday of each month from 7:00 pm to 8:45 pm in the second floor auditorium of the Bryan Public Library. The Bryan Public Library is located in downtown Bryan at 201 East 26th Street. There are no regular meetings in July & December.

Cherokee County

Cherokee County Genealogical Society

Meetings are held the second Monday of the months of September through May at Bonner Place, 421 S. Bonner (off Larissa, across from First United Methodist Church), Jacksonville, Texas 75766 at 7:00 p.m. In case of in climate weather, the meeting will be held on the following Monday. Collin County Genealogical Society

(CCGS) Regularly scheduled programs featuring genealogical topics and speakers are held on the 2nd Wednesday, September to June, at the W.O. Haggard, Jr. Library, 2501 Coit Road, Plano, Texas 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Society does not meet during the summer months of July and August. Guests Welcome! Crosby County

Ogle / Hawkins & Allied Families

reunion is held the first Sunday in August every year at the Crosbyton County Pioneer Museum building auditorium, 101 West Main Street, Crosbyton, Texas. The event is a potluck luncheon and usually starts around 10 am. The first reunion was held in 1968, down at Silver Falls, and was moved into town in the mid 1990s. Most years attendance is between 80 and 100. Attendees usually tour the museum, visit family gravesites at the Crosbyton cemetery and many head to Silver Falls Park in the late afternoon. Dallas County

Dallas Genealogical Society

general meetings are open to the public and are held the first Saturday of each month at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library in downtown Dallas. There are no meetings scheduled in June, July, and August. Registration and social time begin at 10:30am. A short Business meeting starts at 11:00am, followed by a program of interest to family history researchers from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Hispanic Organization of Genealogy and Research

(HOGAR de Dallas) was founded in 1997. We meet every third Tuesday of the months of September, November, January, March and May at 6:30 P.M. in Casa View Library on the corner of Joaquin and Ferguson in Dallas. The organization has compiled into annual Journals the studies, research, stories, and lineages of not only our members, but others that have contributed to the Journals for the past ten years. Membership application form can be found on our web site. The application form can be printed, completed and mailed along with $30 to HOGAR de Dallas, P.O. Box 570244, Dallas, Texas 75357 Each past Journal's cost is $30 dollars. The table of contents for each of the ten Journals can be found on our web site.

The Bay Area Genealogical Society

(BAGS) meets at University Baptist Church, 16106 Middlebrook Drive, Houston, TX, at 6:00 p.m. on the last Friday of each month (except November and December when alternate dates are set to accommodate the Holidays.) Light supper is served prior to the meetings.

West Texas GEOLOGICAL Society

hosts monthly luncheon meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. Permian Basin Section SEPM meetings are on the third Tuesday. Cost is $15.00. Meetings are held at the Midland Center, corner of Wall and Main, in downtown Midland. Lunch starts at 11:30am, meeting called to order at 12 noon. Non-members welcome! Be sure to call the Society office at 432-683-1573 or  email  to make reservations for the meetings.

Newton County

Farr Chapel Homecoming

is held on the Second Sunday in June. Due to summer heat and no facilities (no power, a/c, water) we keep the reunion brief. We have a short business meeting in the chapel about 10 am, with Dinner on the Grounds (covered dish lunch) immediately after. The cemetery is also open for visiting. Mid-Cities Genealogical Society

meets the first Thursday of each month at the Mary Lib Saleh Euless Public Library, 201 N. Ector, Euless, Texas. Visitors are welcome. P.O. Grapevine Name Droppers

meets on the second Monday of every month, 10:30 a.m. to Noon, at the Grapevine Public Library, 1201 Municipal Way. This is an informal group of genealogy enthusiasts who meet in the program room at the library to hear speakers on a variety of genealogically-related topics.
