This book did not come with an index. The transcriber prepared this index to help locate the main contents and, in some cases, provided notes within the transcription, recorded in parentheses.
During 1902, Texas Division President Mrs. Benedette B. Tobin of Austin died. Miss Adelia A. Dunovant of Houston succeeded her as President. A tribute to Mrs. Tobin appears during the Second Day - Afternoon Session, and many chapter reports record memorial services held for her.
The volume was found in the attic of a home in Marshall, Texas, along with 1913 and 1914 Texas Division U. D. C. books and a 1913 San Antonio Light newspaper. The books and newspaper were given to the transcriber's father, Tony Pierce, who allowed her to use them for transcription for TXGenWeb and USGenWeb Special Projects.
